Each year conservation trees can by purchased from the SWCD for field and farmstead windbreaks. Order blanks and price listings are available by contacting Linda Berndt at (507) 526-2388.
Landowners can purchase a variety of bare root trees, shrubs, and potted evergreens. Deciduous trees are sold in bundles of 25, evergreen transplants in bundles of 10, and potted evergreens are sold separately. Orders typically are taken during the winter and you will be notified when the trees can be picked up, around mid-April.
Free technical assistance is available from the SWCD for developing a field or farmstead windbreak plan. The SWCD also has a tree planting service available for planting a large number of trees. Contact the SWCD for further information.
