FARIBAULT COUNTY WEED POLICY
As cited in the Minnesota Noxious Weed Law, it is the policy of the legislature that residents be protected from the injurious effects of noxious weeds on public health, the environment, public roads, crops, livestock, and other property. A County Agricultural Inspector is appointed for every county in the state by the Board of Commissioners. The inspectors also assist the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) with laws dealing with seeds, feeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and plant pests.
Local weed inspectors are the mayors in each city and township supervisors on each township board.
